Fairy Dust, Family Planning & Future Therapy Bills
LIVE 10.01.2026
This week, Jess accidentally creates a full-time job for herself in the form of a tiny household fairy who monitors behaviors, leaves gifts, sprinkles suspicious amounts of glitter around the house and is apparently about to need a benefits package. Meanwhile, Sonia’s daughter has decided she’s got jokes on her weekly bible verse, which naturally reminds Jess of the time she prayed to Baby Jesus to make her a 'witch'. So spiritually, everyone is doing great. Then they get into the actual questions keeping mothers awake at night: Who is responsible for making sure siblings growing up in different households actually have relationships with one another? Why are people still asking parents of all girls if they’re going to “try for a boy”? Is it okay to privately hope for a particular gender—and should gender disappointment ever, ever be filmed for the internet where your future child can eventually watch your face fall when the confetti comes out? They also talk about wanting a baby versus wanting to be a mother, the completely normal realization that we're probably responsible for our children’s future internal dialogue, and the deeply humbling experience of teaching your child emotional regulation only to have them turn around and tell you to take a deep breath. Plus, their book, So You’re Trying to Have a Baby After 35, is officially out in digital and paperback, and why they created the fertility guide they desperately wish someone had handed them when they were sitting in those first appointments thinking, Wait… what am I even supposed to ask? And finally, they introduce the 'Geriatric' Mamas October campaign, The Babies We Carry With Us, honoring Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month. Throughout October, the mamas will be remembering babies who are deeply loved, sharing stories from families who carry them, and talking with organizations doing the work of supporting parents through pregnancy and infant loss.

what we're reaching for🍋 Sati Soda’s lemon-lime blend is one of those things that just makes our routine feel more elevated without trying too hard. It has this really calming, clear energy from the CBD and adaptogens like lion’s mane and ashwagandha, so we feel relaxed but still present.
🤍 A space for women fully in it—IVF, pregnancy after loss, high-anxiety pregnancies—the emotional roller coaster no one warned us about. It’s everything the “just relax” crowd doesn’t understand.
🧳 The packing cubes that make life feel curated and calm—with everything tucked into its spot, we’re actually able to see what we packed, and suddenly the whole day vibes… a touch more peaceful and under control.
🌿 We’ve been using these and the difference in our face and ankle swelling is actually noticeable. It’s this blend of herbal ingredients that supports lymphatic drainage and helps your body move things along (which, honestly, we all need), and somehow it just works.
🍷 When we wanted something to take the edge off without drinking—whether it was preconception, during any trimester, or honestly through this whole motherhood journey—we’ve reached for a calmer, cleaner option. This tincture was the one that worked.
🍊 Feeling bloated and just... off lately? Same. This is one of those tiny daily things that actually makes a difference—just a few drops and you feel like you’re at least trying to have your life together. We use it, our kids use it, and it’s officially part of the routine.
👖 Fertility hormones and bloating are literally the worst—getting dressed some days feels like your own body is sabotaging your vibe. So here’s our comfort-first guide to what actually feels good during fertility treatments—because if you’re already injecting hormones, the absolute bare minimum is pants that aren’t emotionally aggressive.
